Enjoy the love - Freebie Blog Graphic!

I created this graphic last night.  I was suppose to be working on something else but wondered off and let my creative side have some fun.

It turned out beautiful.  I am sure you will agree.

I made two sizes for you to choose from.

I will be announcing the winner of the "Angel Kisses" Giveaway sometime in the next couple days because it ends tonight.

Enjoy the love!

    Souvenirs

Time to drift away. . .

to the quiet places that you know of.

Getting ready for the week ahead.

Dancing in orchid slippers. . .

    While visiting an island.

Staying in a Pink Palace perhaps?

    Souvenirs that take me away.

The View from " Up Here "

Last time my sister and I were on Maui,

We had the heavenly experience of visiting Ali`i Kula Lavender.

I was not only mezmerized by the lavender,

but the generous amount of hydrangeas as well.

When I think of " Hawaii " I really do not picture hydrangeas and lavender.

So at the time it was a wonderful suprise to see.

As I have said in a previous post. . .

As well as to my sister when we were there,

If I get to choose what my " heaven " will look like it will be just like this.

      Bride's Basket

When I first began collecting cranberry glass,

I recall how beautiful I thought these " Victorian Bride's Baskets " or

      Bride's Bowls were.

They are called that because it was popular to get them as them as wedding gifts in the late 1800's to about 1905.

Now, this one I have here I kind of just put the pieces together to make a basket for myself.

Each of the two pieces were separate finds of mine along my antique hunting journey.

I have several glass bride's bowls of different colors.

This glass bowl is most likely made by Fenton sometime around 1940-1954.

But the brides basket itself does date back to the turn of the 19th century.

      Island Treasures

As I get older or as time goes by, I am finding myself more drawn to treasures handmade by nature.

I have found rings made out of seashells. . .

And my latest passion is little boxes made from seashells.

As well as odds and ends such as miniature sand dollars perfectly made.

I am not quite sure how roses like this survive the 110 degree heat of an Arizona summer day,

But I am thankful it does.

The splash of pink from a rose always completes

Any treasure I happen to be photographing that day.

It's like sending yourself a little postcard.

        The Royal Lily Pond

Today let me take you on a stroll through The Royal Hawaiian Hotel gardens.

Where there is the serenity of a lily pond.

As the island breeze softly whispers in your ear.

        The sun is streaming through the trees above;

Making everything in the lily pond glisten and glow.

Once in a while you can see the koi,

Their bright colors catching your eye.

You watch the dragonfly softly glide on the air, as you get lost in the moment.

One of the koi swims over to where you are,

And welcomes you to " the royal lily pond ".

        And you remind yourself,

To memorize this place and capture a piece of it to keep in your soul,

should you ever need a quiet place to  return to.
